Living In Peril is
about Walter Woods, an architect, who travels to Los Angeles
to design a house for a client. After arriving in the city,
strange things start to happen. First Walter's blue prints are
ruined by what he thinks is rat urine. Then a man breaks into
his apartment and breaks his toe. Two days later he wakes up
to find his neighbor, a prostitute, dead in his bed.
Eventually, he finds out that the person harassing him is his
wife's psychotic ex-husband.
Animal Action:
One night Walter
wakes up to find rats crawling all over his bed. The next day
the landlord is seen carrying a box around as he collects the
rats. This scene was shot in cuts. The trainer placed the rats
on the bed and the actor took great care when getting out of
the bed so as not to harm any of the rats. Later, rats were
placed in a box for the establishing shot of the landlord
catching the rodents. A fake rat was used when the landlord is
seen sweeping a rat into the bucket.
