BLOOD DIAMOND Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a South
African mercenary and Solomon Vandy (Djimon Hounsou) is a Mende fisherman. The
only thing these men have in common is that they both want to recover a rare,
priceless diamond that will change their lives forever.
Safety Representatives were unable to directly supervise the animal action in
Blood Diamond because it was filmed internationally and the
production did not establish a contract for our oversight. However, the
production did provide American Humane a pre-release screening of the film.
